Luxury and retail top list of preferred sectors for workers in 2024

Six in 10 workers want to work in the industry.

The luxury and retail sector emerged as the most attractive industry to work in Hong Kong, with 62% of respondents favouring it, according to a 2024 Randstad survey.

Richemont's leap to become the most attractive employer in Hong Kong in 2024, moving up from sixth place in 2023, highlighted this trend.

Other companies recognised by employees as top employers include CLP Power Hong Kong (ESG and Infrastructure), the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (Banking and Financial Service), and Pirata Group (Food & Beverage)

Meanwhile, the survey also revealed that attractive salaries and benefits outweigh good work-life balance as the top employee value proposition.
