Grab a job: Labor dept to fill over 3,400 vacancies in 2-day fair

Jobs with a monthly salary ranging from $12,000 to $22,000 are up for grabs.

Over 3,400 positions are up for grabs in Labour Department's job fair at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok on 12 and 13 October.

The government said about 60 organizations will participate in the fair from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; 30 each day.

Amongst the positions available are customer service officer, administrative assistant, mechanical fitter, medical laboratory technologist, accounting clerk, shop assistant, security guard, driver, baking assistant, technician, barista, front desk receptionist and production worker.

Around 75% of the jobs which will be offered during the fair are full-time jobs with monthly compensation ranging from $12,000 to $22,000.

Secondary 6 education levels or below are required for 98% of the positions available in the fair, whilst about 68% are open to people without relevant work experience.

Participating organisations may conduct on-the-spot interviews for selected job seekers.
