Half of restaurants expect a summer takeaway surge

In response, restaurants are curating summer menus.

Five in 10 restaurants anticipate an increase in demand for takeaway orders due to the summer climate, Deliveroo reported.

To meet the surge in delivery demand, 21% of restaurants are adjusting their takeaway menus, whilst 33% are curating seasonal summer menus to drive growth.

Meanwhile, the report also found that 94% of restaurants find food delivery platforms increasingly important, showing a 10% growth since the last quarter amidst the summer weather and the Paris 2024 Olympics.
