HSBC reveals senior appointments for IWS division

Wei Mei Tan and Michael Wong will see their roles take effect immediately.

Two senior executives will be joining the Investments & Wealth Solutions under Wealth & Personal Banking, according to an announcement by HSBC. 

Wei Mei Tan will be joining as Global and Asia Head of Advisory, Investments and Wealth Solutions, based in Singapore. Meanwhile, Michael Wong will be the Regional Head of Ultra High Net Worth Solutions Group, Investments and Wealth Solutions, APAC, based in Hong Kong. 

Wei Mei brings over 20 years of experience, including stints in private banking, investment banking, asset management and fintech. Previously, she was the Chief Advisory Office at Endowus, as well as Managing Director and Global Co-Head for Advisory and Investment Solutions at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. 

She will be responsible for advancing advisory offerings and platforms both globally and in Asia. Segments covered by her include Private Banking, Premier and Personal Banking. 

Michael, on the other hand, will be in charge of product design and providing investment and financing advice for UHNW and family offices in the APAC region. 

Previous positions held by him include over 20 years of advisory and product development experience, as well as being part of the Global Family Office Team at UBS.
