Property sales dip 6% MoM in September

Year on year, however, property sales are up 12.4%.

The Land Registry recorded 7,400 sales and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in September, down 6% from August.

The total consideration for such agreements dipped 5.2% from August to $66.8b in August, with a 30.1% year-on-year increase.

Of the agreements, 5,844 were for residential units, up 5.4% from August and up 16.3% compared with a year ago. The total consideration of residential units was $56.1 billion, a rise of 2.9% compared with August and an increase of 29.1% from September 2020.

There were 489,429 land register searches last month.
